ROUVY and STRAVA

STRAVA is the go-to platform for tracking outdoor rides and is home to one of the world’s largest sports communities. With seamless integration between ROUVY and STRAVA, you can keep all your cycling efforts, indoor and outdoor, in one place.

When you connect your accounts, your ROUVY rides will automatically sync to STRAVA, helping you:

  • Keep track of your full training history,
  • Earn points for your ROUVY Career,
  • Connect with athletes from around the world.

Follow this guide to easily set up STRAVA integration and get the most out of your ROUVY activities.

Please note that we've moved away from STRAVA Live Segments and introduced ROUVY Segments, a fully integrated feature built just for virtual rides on ROUVY.

ROUVY Segments highlight key climbs and timed sections along your route, so you can stay focused and competitive. You’ll still feel that same rush of chasing a PR or beating a rival, just the ROUVY way.

STRAVA auto-generated ride descriptions

ROUVY now automatically adds a short summary to each STRAVA activity you upload.
This description includes:

  • your Rouvy Training Load (RTL),
  • XP gained,
  • current level,
  • bike used,
  • visited country,
  • and your travel progress.

It’s a handy way to track your efforts and share your journey with others.

This feature is turned on by default, but you can switch it off anytime.
To switch it off:

  • go to your 'Connected Apps' tab on Riders Portal using this link,
  • toggle off 'Generate description' under STRAVA.

Strava 'Gamified' Tag: What it means

If your ride isn’t showing up in STRAVA Challenges or Club Leaderboards, it may have been tagged as 'Gamified'.

STRAVA automatically applies this tag to rides that include:

  • Participation in a ROUVY Group Ride,
  • Use of Reality Level changes when riding,
  • Manual repositioning on the route (teleporting).
Please note that 'gamified' rides are excluded from STRAVA Challenges and some leaderboards.

Auto vs Manual export: What’s the difference?

Important Notes:

  • Outdoor rides must be recorded directly in STRAVA to earn ROUVY Career points.
  • Activities must be uploaded as Public. Changing privacy settings later won’t count.
  • You can only link one STRAVA account to one ROUVY account at a time.

Auto Export

Best for hands-free sharing. ROUVY sends your activities (including warm-ups and cool-downs) automatically after each session. Just make sure you're online.

Manual Export

Ideal if you want to skip syncing warm-ups or cool-downs. To share manually:

  • Go to your Training Calendar on your Riders Portal.
  • Find your indoor ROUVY activity you want to share and click its name.
  • Find the 'Share' button under the activity's name, then choose STRAVA and click 'Share' again.

Troubleshooting

  • My ride didn’t appear on STRAVA.

This can happen if both ROUVY and another app (like Garmin Connect) are connected to STRAVA. STRAVA may label one as “Morning Ride” or “Evening Ride.”
You can delete the duplicate and manually re-upload your ROUVY activity from your Training Diary in Riders Portal.

  • ROUVY and STRAVA disconnected.

Your STRAVA account may be linked to a different ROUVY account.
Please send us your STRAVA ID (you’ll find it in the URL of your STRAVA profile) via our support form.
