Switching your App Store or Google Play subscription to ROUVY

Until November 30, 2026, you can switch your App Store or Google Play subscription to a direct ROUVY subscription.

Your account, ride history, and progress stay as they are. You add your payment details and billing address in your ROUVY account, then cancel your store subscription.

The switch window closes on November 30, and we don't expect to open it again.

What to do now

Use the button in the email we sent you, or go to the ROUVY account portal and log in.

  • Add your payment details and billing address, then
  • cancel your App Store or Google Play subscription.

How the switch works

Your ROUVY subscription starts when your current store subscription period ends, so you won't be charged twice.

From then on, your subscription renews through your ROUVY account instead of the store, and you manage it on the web like every other ROUVY rider: change your plan or payment method, pause, or cancel.

Applicable taxes depend on your billing address. For details, see How Taxes Affect Your ROUVY Subscription.

Switch your subscription

It takes a few minutes:

  • Go to ROUVY account portal.
  • Log in with the same ROUVY account you ride with.
  • Click Add Payment Method and enter your payment details and billing address.
  • Cancel your App Store or Google Play subscription, as described below.

When you add a card, your bank may ask you to verify it with a $1/€1 authorization. You aren't charged: the transaction is cancelled right away. For more on managing payment methods, see Change Your ROUVY Subscription Plan or Payment Method.

The Payment methods page in the ROUVY account portal, with the Add Payment Method button

Cancel your store subscription

Cancelling stops the store from renewing your subscription. You keep riding until the end of the period you've already paid for, and then your ROUVY subscription takes over.

  • App Store: on your iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Choose ROUVY and cancel it.
  • Google Play: open the Play Store app, tap your profile icon, then Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions. Choose ROUVY and cancel it.

What a ROUVY plan gives you

Store subscriptions never had access to these options. Once you've switched, they're open to you:

  • Pause when you're off the bike. Pause your subscription for up to 180 days once per calendar year and pay only for the months you ride. See ROUVY Pausing.
  • Ride for a day with a Daily Pass. Handy when you only need a single day of riding. See Daily Pass.
  • Get rewarded for staying. Stay subscribed and become eligible for a loyalty discount. See ROUVY Loyalty Program.
  • Invite friends. Earn credits for friends who join ROUVY. See Referral program.
  • Ride together for less. DUO and GROUP plans put several riders on one subscription for a better price per rider.
  • Save with a yearly plan. Yearly plans cost less than paying month by month. Plans and prices are in ROUVY Pricing.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to cancel my subscription in the App Store or Google Play? ▶

Yes, it's the last step of the switch. Your ROUVY subscription starts only when your store subscription period ends, so you won't pay twice.

Until when can I switch? ▶

Until November 30, 2026. We don't expect to open the switch again after that, so it's worth doing it soon.

What will I pay after the switch? ▶

The email we sent you shows the offer for your subscription. Applicable taxes depend on your billing address: How Taxes Affect Your ROUVY Subscription explains how taxes work.

I pay for both a ROUVY subscription and an App Store or Google Play subscription. What should I do? ▶

Cancel the subscription in the App Store or Google Play, as described above. Your ROUVY subscription keeps running, so there's nothing to switch. If you have a question about a charge, contact us.

Can I still subscribe through the App Store or Google Play? ▶

No. New subscriptions are available only on rouvy.com.

My store subscription already ended. How do I come back? ▶

Log in at rouvy.com with the same ROUVY account and choose a plan. Your ride history and progress are still there.

Troubleshooting

I see "Your subscription is managed by Google Play Store or Apple App Store"

This message means your account still carries the old store status, which blocks changes on the web. Contact us and we'll remove it, then you can add your payment method or choose a plan.

For more help, please feel free to contact us. Include the email address of your ROUVY account and whether you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play.
