ROUVY integrates seamlessly with Garmin Connect, allowing you to sync your indoor cycling activities with your Garmin account as well as earn Experience points (XP) for your outdoor rides.
This article will guide you through connecting your accounts and how the integration works.
How to Sync ROUVY and GARMIN Connect
To enable synchronization:
- Go to riders.ROUVY.com and log into your ROUVY account by clicking on the Log in button in the top-right corner;
- Click on your profile icon in the top-right corner and in the drop-down menu choose 'Connected Apps and Devices':
- Navigate to the 'Connected Apps' tab on the page;
- In the 'Available Apps' section, find Garmin Connect and click Connect.
- You will be redirected to the Garmin Connect authorization page;
- Enter your Garmin Connect login details and grant ROUVY access to your profile and data.
| When granting permissions make sure you grant data sharing both from ROUVY to Garmin Connect and vice versa. |
- After the authorization is done, you should see your Garmin Connect app connected in the list of connected apps.
That is it! Synchronization is now on!
Types of synchronization
In the 'Connected Apps' tab, choose your preferred synchronization mode:
-
Auto synchronization: Activities sync automatically once they’re completed. No extra steps needed.
This includes syncing your outdoor rides to earn Experience Points (XP) on ROUVY.
Learn more about how XP works here. - Manual synchronization: You choose which ROUVY activities to sync manually using your ROUVY Training Calendar.
|
Important: You cannot manually upload outdoor activities to ROUVY. Auto sync must be enabled before the outdoor ride takes place to see your outdoor rides in your Training Calendar and earn XP. Old outdoor activities can’t be added retroactively either. |
Where to view your Garmin Connect activities in ROUVY
Once synchronization is enabled, your Garmin Connect activities will appear in your Training Calendar and be marked in grey as Outdoor Activities. Your earned Experience Points (XP) are marked directly on the activity.
To access your Training Calendar, click on the 'Calendar' tab in the top navigation bar on Riders Portal, or use this direct link.
Clicking on the outdoor activity in the Training Calendar will take you directly to your Garmin Connect activity, where you can view its full stats.
Synchronize Your Timezone
To ensure the imported data from your connected apps is synced correctly, make sure your time zone is set accurately in the connected apps settings.
- Use this direct link to access the Connected Apps page in your Riders Portal.
- Scroll to the very bottom of the page and choose your time zone in the menu.
