Every ride is personal, and so is your setup. On ROUVY, you can bring your real-world preferences into the virtual world by customizing your bike frame and wheels.
Whether you're chasing XP, enjoying Group Rides, or climbing iconic passes, here’s how to make your virtual ride reflect your style.
Frame and Wheels: 'My Gear' tab
From sleek aero road bikes to lightweight climbers, ROUVY offers a wide range of virtual frames, each with a unique look and feel.
To start customizing your setup, head to the 'Customization' tab in your profile menu and click 'My Gear.' You can also access it by clicking your current bike in the top bar of the main Dashboard.
The first two tiles, 'Frame' and 'Wheels', let you adjust your bike’s appearance and performance.
Frame
Clicking the 'Frame' tile opens the frame customization screen. We’ve made a few updates to help you choose frames more easily.
The frame your avatar is currently using is marked as 'Equipped.' The frame you’re viewing is outlined in purple.
When you are ready to switch the frame, click 'Equip' below your avatar.
To add the frame to your 'Favourites', click the heart icon.
To narrow down your options, use the filters at the top of the screen.
You can now sort frames by type, Road or Triathlon & TT, or filter only your favourites to find what you need faster.
All frames are now rated on a 10-point scale for Weight and Aero performance.
- Weight affects climbing. Lighter frames make it easier to ride uphill.
- Aero refers to how aerodynamic the frame and wheels are. Better aero means less wind resistance, helping you go faster on descents or flat routes.
More points mean better performance in that category.
You’ll also see a comparison between your current frame and the one you’re viewing. This appears just below your avatar.
- Green dots show where the viewed frame performs better.
- Red dots show areas where it performs worse.
Below the rating, you’ll see the name of the bike you’re comparing against. This your current set frame.
Wheels
Clicking the 'Wheels' tile takes you to the wheel customization screen, where you can explore and compare all available wheelsets.
The wheels your avatar is currently using are marked as 'Equipped.' The set you're currently viewing is outlined in purple.
Each wheelset is rated on a 10-point scale for Weight and Aero performance.
- Weight matters most when climbing, as lighter wheels help you go uphill with less effort.
- Aero refers to how aerodynamic the wheels are. More aero means less drag, which helps on flats and descents.
More points mean stronger performance in that area.
You’ll also see a side-by-side comparison of your current wheels and the ones you’re viewing, just below your avatar.
- Green dots show where the viewed wheels perform better.
- Red dots show areas where they perform worse.
Below the performance rating, you'll see the name of the wheelset you're comparing against. This is your currently equipped set.
Your bike setup isn’t just visual, it’s part of the experience.
So tweak your avatar's gears, dial in your frame, and hop into your next indoor ride with confidence.
