We’re pleased to share that ROUVY has officially been acquired by Zwift.
This marks an important step for our community and reflects the value we’ve built together with riders around the world. Over the years, ROUVY has grown into a strong and trusted platform for cyclists worldwide, and Zwift recognizes that value.
| ROUVY stays ROUVY. We will continue to operate as a standalone app and brand, with everything you know and love remaining in place. |
What this means for ROUVY users
-
No changes to your experience.
You can keep riding exactly as you do today. Your favorite routes, features, and overall experience remain unchanged.
-
Your subscription stays the same.
There’s nothing you need to update or change. Your current ROUVY subscription remains active as is, including Loyalty program discounts and pausing. There are no plans for any ROUVY and Zwift subscription bundles.
-
ROUVY remains independent.
ROUVY continues as a standalone platform with its own roadmap, team, and leadership.
Petr Samek remains CEO, and the ROUVY team stays in place.
Both ROUVY and Zwift will continue to operate independent roadmaps, including their own subscription models.
-
Real routes stay at the core.
We remain focused on what defines ROUVY: realistic riding on real-world routes, helping you train, explore, and achieve your cycling goals year-round.
Zwift hardware compatibility
Zwift Click V2 (previously unsupported) and Zwift Ride are now fully compatible, so you can use them with ROUVY without limitations. If you run into any issues, please let us know using this form.
Zwift Play is not supported at the moment. We’re actively working toward broader compatibility with current and future Zwift hardware.
You need to update your ROUVY app to version 4.5.5 to enable Zwift trainer compatibility.
More improvements are coming in the next ROUVY app release later next month, including remote device configuration options and other updates.
| Update your ROUVY app to version 4.5.5 for Zwift trainers compatibility. |
What about Zwift?
ROUVY and Zwift will continue to operate as separate platforms.
Each platform has its own subscription and product roadmap.
This means:
- No merging of apps.
- No combined subscriptions at this time.
- No changes required from you.
Why this matters
This step allows us to stay focused on what matters most: you, the rider.
By working together with Zwift, we can:
- Continue improving the ROUVY experience,
- Better connect indoor and outdoor cycling,
- Deliver more value long term.
Most importantly, this is a continuation of what we’ve built together.
With Zwift’s support and shared vision, we’re in a stronger position to keep improving ROUVY while staying true to what makes it unique.
