The latest update to the ROUVY Companion app brings new ways to track your training, recovery, and overall fitness across multiple sports.
With expanded activity support, updated Training Load calculations, and new health metric integrations, you can now get a more complete view of your performance in one place.
What’s new in the ROUVY Companion app
This update introduces:
- Multi-sport activity support
- Improved Training and Recovery calculations (including ROUVY Training Load and Training Score)
- Health metrics integration from supported platforms
- Additional language support
Multi-sport support
This update helps create a more complete picture of your overall training, not just your cycling performance.
ROUVY now recognizes additional activity types synced from connected devices and platforms.
For now, XP is awarded only for indoor and outdoor cycling activities. We plan to introduce a new level system that supports XP across all sports. However, we want to make sure this change does not negatively affect users who have already worked hard to progress through the current ROUVY leveling system. |
Supported activities now include:
- Running
- Swimming
- Hiking
- Strength training
- Indoor cycling
- Outdoor cycling
- Other supported activities synced from connected devices
Activities such as rowing, walking, and similar workouts will appear under Other.
Multi-sport activities are not yet supported in the Riders Portal calendar. Support for these activities is planned for a future update. |
Multi-sport activities now contribute to your:
- ROUVY Training Load (RTL)
- Training Score
- Recovery-related insights
This gives you a more accurate view of your overall training and recovery, across all the ways you stay active.
You can now filter your Recent Activity feed by activity type.
Improved Training and Recovery calculations
We’ve rebalanced how ROUVY Training Load is calculated.
The original scoring model was optimized primarily for shorter, higher-intensity indoor cycling efforts. As more athletes began using ROUVY for outdoor riding and multi-sport training, the previous calculation no longer reflected all training styles accurately.
The updated model now better understands:
- High-intensity interval sessions,
- Longer endurance rides,
- Zone 2 training,
- Multi-sport training consistency.
This ensures Training Load remains scientifically grounded and meaningful across different athlete profiles.

What is ROUVY Training Load (RTL)?
ROUVY Training Load (RTL) measures the physiological effort placed on your body after every synced activity. RTL is designed to reflect the overall training stress created by your workouts.
The updated RTL calculation now recognizes both intensity and duration more effectively.
What is Training Score?
Training Score reflects your 6-week average ROUVY Training Load.
The score ranges from 0 to 100 and provides a simple overview of your current fitness level.
In general:
- Higher scores indicate higher fitness and training capacity,
- Lower scores indicate reduced recent training load,
- Training Score is designed to help you quickly understand your overall fitness trend.
Health metrics integration from supported platforms
Important Health metric integrations are currently in beta. Features and supported platforms may change as we continue development. |
The Companion app now supports health metric integrations from selected platforms.
Supported integrations currently include:
- Garmin
- WHOOP
- Oura
- Apple Health (beta support)
Once connected, you can view:
- HRV night average
- Resting heart rate
- Sleep duration
- Sleep cycle breakdown
- Stress levels
Metrics can be filtered by:
- Today
- Last 7 days
- Last 4 weeks
| Currently, we only mirror all our data from other platforms. The current release allows you to view health metrics inside the ROUVY Companion app so you can better understand how recovery and health may affect your training. Health metrics do not affect Recovery Score at the moment. We are working on expanding this functionality and including them in the later release. |
Additional language support
The Companion app is now localized in:
- Czech
- German
- French
- Spanish
The app automatically follows your device language settings, but you can manually change the language anytime.
How to change the app language
- Open the Companion app,
- Go to 'Me' tab at the bottom right corner,
- Tap the Settings icon,
- Select 'Language',
- Choose your preferred language from the list.
