You'll need an active ROUVY account and the latest version of the ROUVY app. Once you're set, you're in.
Start pedaling, your effort earns you experience!

How many levels are in the ROUVY Career?

There are more than 100 levels across nine categories: Starter, Rookie, Talented, Elite, Regional Class, Professional, National Champ, World Class, Legend, and more. We've even added some surprise titles to make things interesting.

Where and how do I earn Experience Points (XP)?

You earn Experience Points (XP) from all types of rides, including Workouts, Races, Group Rides, Challenges, and imported outdoor activities. Every ride counts! You can also earn XP from your rides on Zwift once you connect your Zwift and ROUVY accounts.

Can I earn XP on Zwift?

Yes. Connect your Zwift and ROUVY accounts in Connected Apps on the Riders Portal, and your Zwift rides count towards your ROUVY Career. You need an active subscription on both ROUVY and Zwift. Only XP is shared, the subscriptions stay separate. Full setup steps are in ROUVY and Zwift.

What can I do with Experience Points (XP)?

Experience Points (XP) help you level up in your ROUVY Career. As you complete rides, you’ll also earn coins to customize your Avatar. Read more on XP and coins here, and on Avatar customization here.

How can I earn more Experience Points (XP)?

Just cycle more! The more you cycle, the more experience you get.

How does the experience system work?

The app runs an initial calibration to estimate your personal performance based on real effort. As you ride, your Experience Points (XP) count is adjusted individually to reflect your fitness and progress over time.

What is the calibration phase?

During your first Career levels (usually up to level 9), ROUVY measures your performance primarily by time spent riding. As you progress, it incorporates other metrics like FTP (Functional Threshold Power), watts, and effort. After calibration, your XP and coins reflect your true effort and are measured individually.

What is the most efficient way to level up?

It does not matter if you choose a flat or a climbing route. XP is awarded based on your athleticism and effort, not terrain.

Does better equipment give me an advantage?

Not for your Career. XP is based on your own effort, so equipment does not help you level up faster. In races, upgrading your Avatar’s bike frame can improve performance. You can also personalize your look to stand out. For more information, have a look at this article.

If I delete a ride, will I lose the XP?

No worries, your XP is permanent. Once earned, it stays in your total even if you delete the activity.

Can I change my gender?

Yes, you can change the gender of your Avatar; however, this won’t affect your Career progression, since XP is based on your actual performance.

Can I buy Career levels with money?

Nope. Career progress is earned solely through cycling. No shortcuts!

Where can I find my old Career prizes?

Your custom jerseys and badges are all in your profile. Click this link to your profile on the Riders Portal to see them all.

What happens when I level up?

You’ll earn a new badge and jersey. A 5-second animation shows off your new level on screen.

How many XP do I need for the next level?

Check your Career dashboard in the ROUVY App or Riders Portal. It shows your current Experience Point (XP) amount and how much more experience you need to level up.

What’s the Career Comparison Histogram?

Career Comparison Histogram is a handy tool that compares your numbers to those of other riders and shows you a percentage of people with similar Career Levels among all ROUVY cyclists. Another great tool to keep you motivated and working hard!
