Circumference

Wheel circumference and speed sensors

The circumference of a bike wheel is the distance around the outside of the wheel, including the tire. This measurement determines how far the bike travels in one full wheel rotation.

Many tires have the circumference printed on the sidewall. If it's not listed, you need to measure it manually.

Entering the correct wheel circumference is important when using a speed sensor with a classic trainer. ROUVY calculates your speed from the wheel rotations your sensor counts, so the value must be accurate for correct results.

If you're using a smart trainer, smart bike, or power meter, there's no need to enter wheel circumference. These devices send power data (watts) directly to the app.
