At ROUVY, we’re committed to fair and honest indoor cycling for everyone.
Whether you're training, joining a Group Ride, or racing in a challenge, our anti-cheat system runs in the background to ensure a level playing field.
Why We Use an Anti-Cheat System
Virtual cycling relies on accurate data—power, cadence, speed, and more. When that data is incorrect or manipulated, it creates unfair advantages and undermines the effort of others who ride hard and play by the rules.
| We want every leaderboard and race result to reflect real effort and real performance. |
How the System Works
Our anti-cheat engine constantly monitors cycling data and flags irregularities.
Here’s what it looks for:
- Unrealistic wattage: High or sustained power that doesn't align with typical rider input, often caused by incorrect rider metrics filled into the settings on Riders Portal.
- Data anomalies: We compare your real-time performance with your past rides and known human limits to spot any irregularities. These anomalies are especially helpful for identifying shared or public accounts (like gyms or bike shops).
- Performance Validation: We check for consistency and realism in your power and cadence.
| We do not penalize riders using classic trainers that report higher values. |
If Your Ride Gets Flagged

To avoid surprises, we recommend checking the following before every event:
- Calibrate your trainer; more info on calibration is here.
- Review your height and weight in your Riders Portal.
If you have questions or believe your ride was incorrectly flagged, please get in touch with us.
