We recommend downloading route videos before the ride.
This helps prevent connection dropouts, app crashes, and slow loading.
This article will guide you through the download process and show you how to manage your downloaded routes for the best ROUVY cycling experience.
What to Check Before Downloading
Before downloading a route, check these three key things:
-
Your Internet connection speed
A slow or unstable Internet connection can cause download failures. Wi-Fi quality may vary depending on where your trainer is set up, especially in places like attics or basements. Take a look at this article to learn more.
-
Firewall and antivirus permissions
ROUVY App can be blocked by your Firewall or antivirus software, making it impossible to download the route. Make sure the app is allowed through. Please check this article to learn more.
-
Available storage on your device
If your device runs out of space, downloads will fail. To save space, you can either delete other routes or choose a lower video quality.
Tips for a Smooth Download
Download speed mostly depends on your Internet connection, but here are a few things that can help:
- Avoid switching to other apps while downloading.
- Make sure there’s enough free storage for the video file.
- Delete unused routes. You can always re-download them later.
- Choose a lower video quality if downloads are taking too long.
- Reduce network traffic by closing apps like YouTube or Netflix.
