Weekly quests

Weekly quests give you three small riding goals each week, so there's always a reason to get on the bike and something to collect when you do.

Ride a set distance, climb a set height, and complete a workout before the week ends. Each finished quest earns Coins, and finishing all three adds a bonus of Experience Points (XP). Every rider gets the same three quests.

Weekly quests were earlier called weekly goals.

Not the same as weekly goals in the Companion App

The Companion App has its own weekly goals that adapt to your training and don't pay out Coins. This article is about the weekly quests in the ROUVY app.

Where to find your weekly quests

You can open your weekly quests from three places in the ROUVY app:

  • the WEEKLY QUESTS tile in Challenges,
  • Menu in the top-left corner, then Weekly quests,
  • the WEEKLY QUESTS tile on the Home screen.

The tile shows how many quests you have left, or that a reward is waiting for you. After a ride, the Progress Report also shows how far the ride moved each quest.

The quests and their rewards

Quest What to do within the week Reward
Ride Further Ride 50 km. 750 Coins
Climb Higher Climb 500 m. 750 Coins
Workouts Complete 1 workout. 750 Coins
All three Finish all three quests. 500 XP

Rewards don't land in your account on their own: collect them. When a quest is done, open your weekly quests and select the reward button next to it. Once all three are done, collect the 500 XP bonus the same way. The app also sends you a notification when you finish a quest.

Progress keeps counting after you reach a target, so riding 80 km shows as 80 / 50 km. More about what Coins and XP are for in Coins and Experience.

What counts toward your quests

Distance and climbing count from rides in the ROUVY app in ride, race, and Group Ride mode. The Workouts quest counts finished workouts.

These don't count:

  • outdoor rides and activities imported from other apps, such as STRAVA or Garmin,
  • rides that don't pass activity validation.

When the week starts and ends

The quest week runs in UTC, from Monday 00:00 to Sunday 23:59. The Weekly quests screen shows when the current week ends in your local time.

A ride belongs to the week in which it started, counted in UTC. If you live far east of UTC, for example in Australia, a ride early on Monday morning can still be Sunday in UTC and count toward the week that's ending.

Troubleshooting

My ride didn't count toward a quest ▶

Check that it was a ride in the ROUVY app in ride, race, or Group Ride mode, and that it passed activity validation. Outdoor and imported rides don't count. If the ride was right at the start of the week, it may have counted toward the previous week in UTC.

I finished a quest but didn't get the Coins ▶

Rewards need collecting. Open your weekly quests from Menu or the Challenges tab and select the reward button next to the finished quest.

I can't see the Weekly quests tile ▶

If you're new to ROUVY and working through Explore ROUVY, the tile can be hidden on the Home screen and in Challenges until you've moved further in Explore ROUVY. You can still open your weekly quests from Menu, and collect rewards there.

If something still looks wrong, contact our support team and include the date of the ride and the name of the route or workout.
